Welcome to la Peiriére, a small and beautiful park tucked away in the Cathares countryside, famous for its Corbières wine. Situated just 45 minutes from the Mediterranean coast and the City of Narbonne, La Peiriére sits at the foot of the Pyrenees’ mountains offering amazing views and a real taste of natural beauty. The surrounding area is a rich blend of history, culture and modern day activity. With Roman vestiges and Cathares castles to visit, local wine and products to taste and activities such as mountain climbing and horse riding to try your hand at there is something for everyone here. The history of this park has a lovely story. In the early eighties Yannick, a local wine producer planted over 30,000 trees and on what used to be flat open vineyards and simply let the land take it’s own shape. Then over the years, little by little he created what is today la Peiriére. Full of wildlife and character, la Peiriére pretends to be nothing more than what it is, a beautiful and peaceful countryside retreat.
